Five years ago Anna DeShawn, Founder/CEO of E3 Radio decided to celebrate her 30th birthday by starting an annual benefit to help support her favorite nonprofits. Over the years E3 Radio has given over $5,000 to various organizations in the Chicagoland area. These organizations include Affinity Community Services, the Church within a Church Movement, Project Fierce, the Youth Empowerment Performance Project, & A Long Walk Home.
The Purple Tie Affair is special because we showcase musical artists, drag performers and one of kind silent auction items. Everyone arrives in purple representing their version of fly so we can party with a purpose.
This year we are pleased to announce that the proceeds will go to our first benefactors Affinity & CWACM. Our first year was a success but we didn’t gift these organizations as much as we would have liked. Now that we have grown we’ve decided to reach back and give to these great organizations again.
This year was special because it was our fifth year and we did it big! The performances were amazing and we had the largest crowd to date.
We are pleased to announce that with your help we were able to raise $1350.00! Thank you all for your support. These funds will be split evenly between both organizations.
