Family, this is your favorite queer radio personality Anna DeShawn here and if you enjoy what you hear rate & review us inside your fav podcasting app. Now on to our queer news from today.

It’s the last day of women’s herstory month and also Trans Day of Visibility so I’ve got a couple of special moments for you today.

For Trans Day of Visibility I want you all to go watch Logo TV’s 3-part series titled the Trans Youth Summit hosted by Raquel Willis.  Across the country, bills are being written into law silencing, harming, and further marginalizing the trans community. For the #TransYouthTownHall, Logo and Raquel Willis are uplifting the voices of trans youth, celebrating trans joy, expression, and the beauty and diversity of their experiences. I’m going to play some clips from the series because on a day like today we should be listening and celebrating our trans fam & especially the youth.

Now for women’s herstory month, I had the opportunity to interview Joyce Renee Walker, a Black woman pianist with over 35 years of experience who has a special event coming up tomorrow here in Chicago. Take a listen to our interview.

I hope ya’ll enjoyed that. Joyce is a wonderful talent here in Chicago and instead of closing with a word we will close with a little bit of her music. Till tomorrow family, peace.
